Shirley is native Chinese, graduating from Guangzhou Foreign Language Institute. Shirley is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
Starting in the Wine Industry with Veuve Clicquot China (A Fine wine distributor of LVMH Group) as Sales Manager for North China and later East China for over six years, Shirley set up her own Wine import and distribution company named East Meets West Fine Wines (EMW) in 2003.
EMW Fine Wines has achieved great success and has established a nationwide distribution network across China, with offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Hong Kong over ten years.
Shirley relinquished her shareholding in EMW in February 2012 and started China Knot Consulting firm. China Knot has worked with various wine organizations, clients including Decanter, Istituto Grandi Marchi, Gaja, Pio Cesare and more.
With more than 18 years Global and China Wine market experience, Shirley has a strong connection with the Chinese wine market and has in-depth knowledge on company operations and management in China. She also has an extensive network on press and media, wine trade professionals and wine trade professionals.
Shirley is now spending her time between China and Europe.
